About Amy
I was born March 21, 1978 in Houston, TX. My parents divorced when I was 5 forcing me to move to Channelview where I briefly lived with my mother. At the age of 8, I moved to Cypress with my father and graduated from high school in 1997. Following high school, I worked full-time and continued my education in the evenings. My mom became ill and passed away in 2002. I struggled to complete school but finally received my associates degree from Lone Star College in 2005. I had my son in 2007 and took time away from my studies to focus on work while being a new mom. After losing my father to cancer in 2012, I lost a large piece of myself and looked for ways to heal. My father was my biggest fan and wanted me to pursue my passion for art. My son and I relocated to Clear Lake area in 2014 where I decided to go back to school to complete my BFA. I currently reside in the Clear Lake area and work part-time as a marketing analyst. My commissioned work includes logos, graphics, websites, various print work pertaining to marketing as well as commissioned artwork.
